( error no CK 465) No price could be determined for the material

Hi,

While costing for a material i am getting the error messages as folloows

1) No price could be determined for the material error no CK 465

2)Cost component split costed with value of zero CK240

Materail procurement type is F - External procurement so i hope no need BOM and routing , they were not created.

Material has price control indicator - S

Material type - ZVAR (Finished product variant)

What could be the reason for this error and what is the solution

Hi Friends,

I am able to solve this. Since a few people asked how to resolve it, I am giving the steps here.

>Check the "valuation variant" in OKK4 and see the material valuation tab (you can see val.variant in costing variant - control tab as Murali mentioned above)

>if the Priority [1) Exit, 2) Planned price-1 etc] is in this way, go to Material Master change (MM02) and update Planned Price-1 tab with a minimum amount. This info is available in Costing 2 tab.

>Save the entries.

>Ensure that material master shows total value not zero. If it is zero, add price in MR21.

>Now you can create the costing run in CK40N. If you want to delete costing run (in case you enter wrong info in previous costing run create for eg - wrong date entered and that resulted in wrong period being updated in Mat. master) delete the costing run in CKR1.

You will get this error.

I have Run the cycle on 29-02-2012, Today i.e 0n 01-03-2012 MM consultant wants to close the period of February.

Is it required to resolve the errors before closing the february period?

Can we resolve the errors after closure of the period.

Please guide me. Most urgent

The reason for that error is

Costing view might be missed by MM People.

If they maintained they might forgot to maintain valuation class.

OBYC settings missed for GBB / VBR ............

The long text of message CK465 normally indicates what went wrong. Could you please check it ?

hI ,

i have checked the valuation variant , i thinik it is standard PPC1- 0001 Planned valuation --mat.

strategy sequence is as follows.

1)planned price 1

2)Future price from accounting

3)Valuation price with user exit

4)Future standard price

so what is the problem?

Please check your valuation variant in OKK4

select your V.Variant and double click it

Check the strategy sequence for material value.

If you want to know your V.variant, please go to OKKN and select your Costing variant and double it.

under control tab, you'll find your V.Variant.
