MDM Shopping List - Quantities

Hi,

When creating a Shopping List, the field Quantity is editable, but is not saving any values. It is always a default value and does not permit to save another values.

In a normal situation (not SAP, for example), a Shopping List permits that articles and its quantities are saved for a user. We would like to have this functionality also available.

We are using SRM MDM Catalog v.2. Our questions are the following:

1. Is there any way that SAP recomends to save quantities in a Shopping List?

2.Is this possibility (to store quantities for a Shopping List) available in a more recent SRM MDM version?

Thanks and Regards,

maria

    Hello Maria

    First of all

I think your quantity is not master data

    Second

Maybe in repository for field Quantity you set property "Writable once" to "Yes"

or your field has type "Calculated"

    Could you chek that, please?

    Hi Maria.

Shopping List is a functionality to store the favourite items which the users wants to shop frequently.

The application is designed in such a way to have the quantity field editable so that the user can change the quantity and shop the items (with number of quantity) he needed.

    >>1. Is there any way that SAP recomends to save quantities in a Shopping List?

This feature is not available from the Catalog application point of view. But you can achieve this through MDM by maintaining values for the field minimum quantity. These values will be reflected in the catalog application by enabling the settings in the configuration screen.

    >>Is this possibility (to store quantities for a Shopping List) available in a more recent SRM MDM version?

As far as I know it is not available in the recent versions.

      Hi,

I got an answer from SAP saying this behaviour is standard and they are not thinking about changing it.

      Thanks,

      Maria
