Hello!!

Wanted to understand how trading goods are handled in the system. SAP says that it needs purchasing and sales view.

Can we maintain stocks on these HAWA materials? and how are they valuated? Do we need to maintain the standard price on these materials? Are they costed?

Please share any information you have on the HAWA materials...

Thank you....

Hi

For trading materials it should always be moving average price, price control V

Thanks all...

If it's going to be a moving average price, we need to have PO's created and GR's to get the material price updated right?

Any other way to update the material price (MAP)?

Hawa materials are those which you can purchase from outside as well as sell them from your company . That is the reason you have purchasing as well as sales view creation option while doing MM01 ...

In OMS2 you can see the various business views (purchasing , Sales etc etc for material types ) ...

For this material type , valuations / costings are valid , They are inventory managed ie stock exists in MMBE .. Its your choice to define standard or moving average price ....

Normal valuation will happen

HAWA Materials are Inventory managed-Stocking , and normally are valuated at MAP.(Price control V) .There is no Costing done for trading goods. You can check other parameters in OMS2.
