XI 3.0 File adapter running - no messages

Hi,

The file adapter in XI 3.0 is running, but the message doesn't appear in the XI engine. Any suggestions...

Thanks

Pandari

check the adapter log first to see if the adapter picks up the file Iassuming you use the inbound fileadapter).

do a clear log first, after that a restart adapter and after that, view log.

this should indicate if the file has been detected and processed or not

If not, verify the adapter configuration (directory, filename, etc.)

    good luck !

The file is picked up and it looks like it is processed, there are no errors in the log, but the file doesn't reach the IS.

I stopped and restarted the adapter, still no luck. Any other thoughts.

      Thanks

    Hi Pandari,

Adapters in XI 3.0 are monitored by Runtime Workbench. Log into RWB, click "Message Monitoring", select component "af.<sysid>.<host>", and use filter to check the log for your messages. You should be able to get a clue there.

    Regards,

    Hart

You have to be sure that the Pipeline URL in the Business System definition of your XI (in SLD) is the same of the URL displayed when you try to test the service sap/xi/engine with the transaction SICF.

Was anyone successful at getting a message posted in XI?

I've have an outbound file adatper that is active and running. I don't see any activity in the run-time workbench message monitoring. The log file below is the only other information I have to indicate the adapter is running. I don't see any activity in SXMB_MONI. Since I don't see anything in the XI Monitor, I'm assuming the adapter is not configured correctly. I'm just not sure what that is. The file directory is NFS mounted and the data file there. Is there somewhere else to look to see if the file was actually found by the adapter? Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Directory: /usr/sap/XI3/DVEBMGS00/j2ee/cluster/server0/log/services
