FM that reads objids by short

Hi All,

I am looking for a FM that finds me the objid by a given short.

I have a list of objects for which the objid is unkown and I need to know the objid for further processing. I would like to avoid selecting the objids directly using the SELECT statement.

Can anybody help me here?
