Hi folks,

might also be a good idea to have a look at XSteps and the XStep library (avaliable on SND for free). Using XSteps for maintaining process instructions for PI Sheet creation is quite comfortable. As the colleague suggested SAP help and SAP library is quite a good source of knowledge. If you want to see more demos and recordings please check the XStep café:

Greetings

Uwe

P.S.: Also important - know what you want to archive with PI Sheets from a business perspective..

Hi

Pankaj

First thing you need to decide whether you want to go for ABAP based or browser based PI sheet( Nowdays Browser based is prefered) . After this in ECC-SPRO you need to create control recipe destiantion .And define process message destination it can be RFC destination (external system)or ABAP based destination (ECC).Then use PI sheet assistance to build PI sheet which will have process instruction and process message categories selected as per your need. This will show you how PI sheet will appear. In master recipe however you need to assign Control recipe destiantion to Phase of operation so for one phase Control recipe destination can be browser based PI sheet but for other phase control recipe destination can be external system so you need to assign contril rec destination accordingly.

Once order is released if CNT REC DEST are two then two control recipe will get created ( note that CNT REC DEST can be used multiple phase and can be used as per your need but while control recipe generation it will create number control recipe based upon number of destination you used and not how mnay time you used.)

You can check control recipe in CO53 and confirm process message through CO54 once ECC recives messages either by PI sheet confirmation process or external system.

Also there is not hard and fast rule that if you have PI sheet u need to only do confirmation through PI sheet one can still do confirmation through COR6/CORK or creating maual Process messages by using Tcode CO57.Also note that once control recipe created Proc ord will have status CRCR which need to be changed to CRFI after completion of process. This can be done by processing message PI_CRST through CO54 else it will not allow order to get TECO.

I will advise you to go through PP PI stuffs avaialble in help.sap.com or browse on net to get idea /visualise how it work for you.I hope this explanation will help you. Best luck.

Hai,

First search in the internet for PI sheets configuration then understand the principles of the same... then go for configuration of the same as per the business requirement.

CONFIGURATION STEPS:

1) SPRO-->PPPI --> PROCESS MANAGEMENT --> CONTROL RECIPE/PI SHEET --> DEFINE & SETUP CONTROL RECIPE DESTINATIONS

2) SPRO-->PPPI --> PROCESS MANAGEMENT --> CONTROL RECIPE/PI SHEET --> SELECTION VARIANTS FOR PI SHEET --> DEFINE SELECTION VARIANTS FOR PI SHEET

3) SPRO-->PPPI --> PROCESS MANAGEMENT --> CONTROL RECIPE/PI SHEET --> SELECTION VARIANTS FOR PI SHEET --> ASSIGN SELECTION VARIANTS FOR PI SHEET

4) SPRO-->PPPI --> PROCESS MANAGEMENT > PROCESS INSTRUCTIONS> DEFINE PI CATEGORIES FOR PI SHEET.

You should follow these above configuration steps in PI sheet.

After the above configuration Maintian the control recipe destination in recipe then assign the process instructions to the operations.

Then follow the below steps.

COR2 Generate After creating the process order release

CO53 Control Recipe Monitor Send the control Recipe

CO58 PI Sheet Maintain Input the values in the control recipe (PI sheet)

Hope it helps.

First configure in Development then go for execution.
