How can I restrict users from selecting parant dimension members in CV?

Hi experts,

I have an input schedule and I want to restrict users from selecting PARENT LEVEL dimemson members from the action pane(or MNU_eTOOLS_MEMBERSELECTOR_X). if this is not possible, Can I send a WARNING MSG when the dimension users selected is NOT a basemember?

Hi,

If you open a dynamic template from input library and select a parent level member in the CV, you will be able to see a message on the input schedule. Please take a look at the design. Its vary simple and you will be able to understand if you take a closer look into the control panel of the dynamic template.

If you are looking to wizard input schedule templates from Apshell you will see that actually when you are trying to send data for members which are not base members is providing this information into excel.

Just check these reports and you can do yourself a similar procedure for your input schedule.
