I would like to completely disable the email from coming out. That means I don't want the email to go to the user with the password AND I don't want an email that has a link to the password to go to the user. (The fact that this email is an all-or-nothing deal without regard to what system is it for is a sad design, to say the least. We have decided that rather than have the email go to some users who have no need for it due to single sign on, we will disable the thing in its entirety and require users to use PW self service for systems that actually require UI logon.)
Does anyone know how to compelely disable the password email. I have changed the Closing attribute on the reminders from yes to no and back again, without getting rid of an email.
Any help will be appreciated.

Hi Yvonne,
have you tried SAP NOTE 1253720 ?

You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
I have tried that note. And it does completely disable the email. However, in addition to supressing the password at the time an account is provisioned, it also supresses it when a user requests a password reset.
So, when I said, I wanted the email completely disabled, I shoucl have said I want the password disabled at the time of account creation. But enabled when users request a password reset.
Any ideas on how to accomplish that?
