Relieved employee form 16

Hi All,

An employee was relieved on 18th October 2010. His form 16 was taken out in march. It was found that some problem was there (It was not taking the correct arrears from previous year /616). Because of this the gross salary was not correct. Though the gross salary can be corrected now, but this is causing income tax liability.

How to deal with such a case? This is very important.
