Batch numbers from BOM on Delivery note

Hi

I have the following scanario:

A serial managed parent on a BOM which is a manufactured item

the BOM also contains a batch managed component item

I need to draw the batch number from the component item in the BOM through to the delivery note (using a Formatted Search)

I would appreciate any suggestions on how to design the query.
