Asset Transfer to Material

Dear All

I have requirement of transferring asset to stock-in-trade. So need to transfer asset value to material code.

Kindly suggest how to do it.

You need to use MB1A - 242 movement type which will convert the Asset into Stock

Hi Ajay

If I enter movement type 242 for material with moving average zero, no value is transferred to material. Only Profit center and controlling documents are generated with zero value.

I am getting following error when I tried movement type 242 with asset WDV is Rs. 1,147.65 and material moving average is Rs. 1,147.65:

Balance for transaction type group 10 negative for the area 01

Message no. AA629

Asset affected: 100040000966-0000

Diagnosis

With the transaction entered, the balance for the transactions in group

10 in area 01 will be negative in this fiscal year. However, the balance

of transaction type group 10, according to its definition, must be

positive in each fiscal year.

System Response

The system rejects this posting.

Procedure

Check the transaction type, the amount and the fiscal year in your

posting. If you want to post a credit memo to an acquisition from the

previous year, then use a transaction type for a retirement. If

necessary, you can change balance rules after talking with your SAP

consultant.

Dear Shripal,

For AA 629, as a workaround, you can set TABWG-VZJSAL = '*'. In SM30 insert table view V_TABWG an double click on t.type group from the transaction type.

I have already put same price in material as per asset wdv. still getting this error.
