problem import user BI to BO

Hello Everyone,

15 days ago I imported a role to BI (z: xxx) in BO.

Yesterday I added 2 new users in the role (z: xx) in BI.

I did upgrade from, autentication -> sap -> import role, but the 2 new users are not imported.

can someone help me please

Hi All,

As late as today I have seen the problem on a customers system.

To fix it, I had to restart the "Server Intelligence Agent" - as I needed to reset the CMS.exe which caches information from the BOE repository. Unfortunately it has been seen previously that the cache has become "dirty" and that BOE cannot clean it automatically.

A restart of the SIA and removal of the role and reimport of same fixed the issues.

I am aware that many of you are using the imported roles as groups in BOE and have used these to assign security... However this is not the best idea ever.

Instead we always create an BOE Group and and join the imported group from BW (or other external systems) to this group. Then we assign security to the BO group. Should it then happen that we need to delete the BW group from BOE then we have no issues as no security are mapped to the BW group.

I have checked the "forced sync" etc etc,

and finally I haven't problem , after updating,

to import new users.

Hi,

Have you got any error when you click the update button in the role import tab of sap authentication and also check whether you imported the CRYSTAL_ENTITLEMENT Role in the role import tab.

this option is set, but if I try to reimport the role

new users are not imported.

the only way is: take the role of z: xxx and to update and replace the role of z: xxx and update, at which point I see two new members, but this way I lose all the permissions already assigned (universes, connections etc etc ), users previously imported.

If you chekc the Force user snycronization option then you do not have to reimport the role everytime.

Please logon in the CMC and go to Authentication->SAP->Options

If the option Automatically import users is not set then the users will be created automatically the first time they try to login into the InfoView. If the option is set then the users will be imported automatically if you import the role again.
