If no explicit assignment for the component has been made in the Master Recipe, during the explosion of the source of supply in APO the component is assigned to the first produce activity/phase.
When the conversion is triggered and Process Order is created, what takes place is the logic from ECC side. The logic in ECC side is that the component should be assigned to the first phase of the operation, hence it would be possible that the component assignment changed from phase 0040 to 0030. This logic is used for Process Orders only as for Production Orders you can define component assignment in OPU3 / CFO3.
