Hello,

I have to install the component LSOCP 604 (SAP Learning Solution Content Player) on a SAP Java standalone system.

Can anyone help me with this? Is there a useful installation guide or tutorial regarding this?

Thank you,

Hello Sunny,

Thank you for the notes, especially for the last 2 that are for Java.

But I still have some doubts, for the LSOCP release 200 and 300 I found the installation guides. But for the release I need 640, it is not clear for me : do I need to install Ehp4 that includes LSOCP 604 mandatory or I can just install the *.SCA that coresponds to my version ?

Can anyone help me with this question?

Regards,

Manuela

Hi,

If you want to use 604 version then you need to install EHP4 on the backend system.

Thanks

LSO Content Players gets installed on the Java Stack of the LSO Front End ABAP Stack.

Our ABAP Stack has:

EA-HR 604

LSOFE 604

And LSO CP Version is LSOCP 604 which has content caching.

Config; http://host:j2eePOrt/lms/mediator/config , make sure set high values for pool and abap connections are based on number of DIa Processes.

We have about 50,000 active users and we see tremendous amounts of users waiting for content to show up on CP.

SAP come up with new idea called content caching in EHP2.

To enable content caching follow this note. https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1352233

and https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/746917

Make sure you copy the xml file to all the server nodes. If not caching will not be in effect.

My experience with CP Caching, huge memory consumption in J2EE, but very good response times. Also enable the KM Caching.

SM.

Dear Sri,

We are implmenting E-Learning for different locations. Loading of the course taking us lots of time from a server at one location for Learner taking up course from different geographics. We need to implement the caching, this will really help us in loading the course. Could you please let us know, how did you implemented the caching functionality. It would be really great help if could share it.

Appreciated your kind reponse.

Thanks and Regards
