Hi All,
What is Account Assignment Category.
What is the difference between AAC E and M.
How both work in relation to MTO scenario.
Can you share your suggestions on this.
Thanks & Regards,
Praveen

HI Biju,
Thanks for your quick reply.
Can you explain it in detail.
What are the functionalities of both them.
E do u mean if used in the MTO scenario, then raw materials procured will be sale order stock assigned which are only used for that specific sale order, where as M will not.
Other words E means individual requirement material used specifically for the SO and M means collective requirement used for any SO.
Correct me if i m wrong.
Thanks,
Praveen

In 'E' (non-valuated( raw materials purchased against the sales order item are expensed. (This is why results analysis is required for this scenario.)
If you purchase raw material stock for 'M - it is still assigned to the sales document item (may have a different valuation class).
Either way, the functionality is complex. If you don't really need to track costs at the sales order item level, don't use MTO.
Dear All,
Thanks for your inputs,
I have gone thru the materials given in the link.
Both M and E are used in MTO, thats perfect.
Issue i have is both of them can be used for Non valuated SO, but what makes both to be diffferent from the other.
If E is used, then does it means inventory procured to manuf FG is assigned directly to the Sale order item with out being in Inventory where as with M it comes into inventory and then consumed.
Correct me if wrong.
Thanks.
Praveen
Hi,
Account Assignment Category M is mainly used like scenarios compare to for Make to Stock (Ind. cust. w/o KD-CO) where stock post to inventory account
Account Assignment Category E used used like scenarios compare for Make to Order ( Ind. cust. with KD-CO) where stock post to an expense account with GBB-VKA(in OBYC setting)
