Maintenance plan (IP10) returns SAP message u2018automatic release failureu2019

Dear all

From some reason (I guess in CO/PS ?!), a maint. plan is returning to me the IW520 SAP message u2018automatic release failureu2019 (but I can release it manually if I force it on IP10 but then SAP returns another message: the 'Responsible cost center' must still be filled (but once I go to the work order on IW32 its already there !!!); plus another message : The order will not be included in the current budget ; what does this mean exactly ? how can we release the orders from the plan automaticly (like before)

any ideas ??? most welcome gurus !!!

Check with you CO group. They may have to map cost center <> responsible cost center in some table.

Just my 2cent advise , Please goto Tcode OIOA, for the Order type, tick the check box there's one <Release Immediately>.

Thanks for your answer - its not that (the Release autom.option per order type was always there); funny is that the plans seem to work if genereted by IP30 on batch input; but not if I go into it manually (from IP10) and release it myself ??!!

Any more Ideas? Thanks a lot

hi,

While releasing the maintenance order it will check some conditions as follows,

"Time for settlement rule creation (if you set "mandatory for release" in spro, it will affect the automatic release of order. so that after creating settlement rule only you can release your order, so you have to maintain settlement rule for that order ) "

first maintain settlement receiver for your order

thanks for your input;

but everything is OK with the settlement!

Its strange because it works just fine by IP30 batch !!only when I try to release it directly from the plan it gives me that problem
