How to use company users on existing ldap server as EP6.0 sp2 Users?

Hi everybody

Our company user data is on a LDAP server we want to connect our EP6 UME to this existing LDAP server so that existing company users can access the Portal with their company id and password. What configuration we should do on the portal ?

    Hi Rajendra

    I have solved that by using the HowToGuide "Configure UME for Multiple LDAP Data Sources". There you find information about implementing one or multiple LDAP Servers in the portal. In general you have to configure LDAP properties in UM Configuration. You have to know

    - which type of LDAP you use (MS ADS, Novell, etc.)

    - if the LDAP has a flat or deep hierachy

    - if you want Read-only/ not read only permissions on the LDAP Server(s).

    In UM configuration you can also test if the LDAP connection is working.

      But it makes more sense to put all your users in the same place. Why do you need users in two different locations?
