HANA XS at HANA Cloud Platform: Outbound API with SSL not working on trial

Hello,

currently we are working in a HANA XS trial in HANA Cloud Platform. We try to use the Outbound API to connect to a SAP Business by Design Webservice. Unfortunately we are not able to establish a connection.

This is the content of our destination file (*.xshttpdest):

host = "https://my337974.sapbydesign.com";
port = 443;
proxyType = http;
proxyHost = "proxy-trial";
proxyPort = 8080;
authType = basic;
useSSL = true;
sslHostCheck = true;
sslAuth = client;

And that's the respective XS part:

request = new $.net.http.Request($.net.http.POST, "/sap/bc/srt/scs/sap/businessconfigurationreadwrite");
request.contentType = "text/xml";
request.setBody(payload);
client.request(request, destination);

The last line produces the following error:

HttpClient.request: request failed: unable to establish connection to https://my337974.sapbydesign.com:443 - IPcon: HTTP proxy handshake failed! Proxy replied with '400 Received invalid request line from client' (line 45 position 1 in /tkccc/byd/get_changeprojects.xsjs)

Can you please provide a hint what to do now?

Hello,

I found a solution for the problem: The protocol needs to be omitted when providing the host. However, I'm still not able to connect to the target host due to a SSL-Error:

IPcon: failed to start the SSL session.

Any ideas?

the problem might exist due to limitations on the trial landscape. As the thread is already a few years old - can anybody confirm that those limitations still exist?

Have you uploaded your http destination´s certificate?

Yes, we've done all that. A colleague of mine confirmed that the SSL-problem is related to the trial landscape (as mentioned in
https://archive.sap.com/discussions/message/14632411#14632411)

So it seems that the limitation of the trial landscape is still present and can only be removed by SAP for the specific account.
