So far nothing worked including the existing SAP notes about MDX issues. We opened up an OSS message, SAP referred to the same OSS notes that we already exhausted. Now it's back to them, I will update here when SAP comes back with a solution

thank you

The issue was fixed by changing the RFC Destination name from

MDX_PARSER to MDX PARSER !!!!!!! who would guess.

Thank you for all your help

Hi,

can you run MDX statements against a BEx query in transaction MDXTEST ?

Hi Ingo,

It say "cube was not found". But as you can expect it works fine when you run it from RSRT

Thanks

but MDXTEST fails ?

can you start transaction SM59, look for a destination called MDX Parser and test it ?

Correct MDXTEXT is failing.

in SM59 I can see the destination MDXPARSER and the connection test is successful. When I run it from transaction RSCRM_BAPI it reads error pccured when starting the parser:RFC Destionation MDX PARSER doesn't exist. Syntax error in MDX text.

It reads something like that in Solution: Check the sytem log in SM21 and add destiation MDX PARSER under TCP/IP folder.

There is nothing in the system log

Thank you

Hi,

I would suggest you open a support case and get the support team to look at your system

Try to run the mdx program at o/s level as described in note Note 1032461 .

If this does work then look at notes in application area BW-BEX-OT-MDX to see if there is an ABAP note valid for your SAP BW version.

I found one of them for trouble shooting - Note 1272044 - Analyzing MDX problems.

Thanks
