Split qty in LT12/ LM46

Hi All, I was wondering if there is a way to have the system confirm a partial quantity of a to position and make a split for the remaining. The issue that I`m having is that when I make a split for the position the system confirm both positions of the TO, the one created originally and the one created in the split. I guess, that this is the normal system behavior but I was wondering if that there is any way to solve this scenario, may be with a user exit or with 2 step process..

You must set UPDATE TASK
