Sales order is not checking ATP against the Forecast in APO.

Hi All,

I config GATP check against the forecast.

when I create sales order in R/3 .. It takes me in APO for ATP .. I can see there check instruction & forecast TAB .

But my sales order is not confirming although forecast is there at that particular date.

Let me know where do I go wrong?

For eg:Product availability>allocation>forecast

Earlier I maintain the sequence... availability>allocation>forecast ..

But I removed it 1st two .. Now I maintain Only Forecast.

I want to check against only Forecast.

Would suppose so

Just a guess.. see if the planned independent requirements are available for the customer (whose sales order you are checking) in the product view. It may be likely that forecast as released from DP or SNP is at characteristic levels higher than the customer and product and/or there is no hierarchy for cross consumption of sales orders against forecasts.

This could be the only obvious reason for a check against forecast to fail. Alternatively you can have product allocation check structure work as forecast check by using key figures of Planned Indepent requirements as available forecast and maintaing production allocation groups and procedures accordingly

Your alternate suggetion is right we can use forecast through product allocation group.

now one thing if we use forecast through product allocation group then in check instruction we do't need check against forecast.

I don't want to use it through product allocation.

Secondly I released forecast to SNP on product & location level. So no higher charastristic system should check against forecast.

This needs to be established with consumption, aggregation and disaggregation logic in the product allocation planning book. The sales order conditions do not understand what is higher and what is lower.

I don't want to use allocation.

In my check instruction -only check against the forecast is active.

I don't want to create customer specific PIR. So no question of checking higher characteristic.
