Blocking System Status in drop down

Hi,

I am using CRM 7.0. In "New status" field when I try to add new status it shows me list of system statuses as well as user status in drop down.

I don't want user get to see these system status as Released, distribution lock,completed and inprocess.. How can I restrict it?

Do I need to map user status with system status in status profile?

Please suggest.

Hi,

sometimes it happens that system displays both user and system statuses. In that case what you can do, in the get_v method of the status field, you can filter out the system statuses pretty easily as all system statuses start with 'I' and user statuses with 'E'.

Also there is help in SPRO for status profile...

As per my understanding if you associate custom status profile to your business transaction type then only statuses defined in custom status profile should appear for that transaction type.. Please make sure that your object type assignment and transaction type assignment are correct.

Also if this doesn't help then please let me know which view and which field are you using?
