MDM UOM Manager not connecting to DB2

Hello,

I have MDM 7.1installed on AIX with DB2 Ver. 9.5. I can connect from my PC to MDM via the MDM Console, Data Manager & Import Manager. However, when trying to connect via the MDM UOM Manager I get the following message: "Cannot create connection to DBMS, check DBMS details. Has anybody came across this problem before? I have looked at SAP Note 1245795 and I have made sure that I'm using the correct login/passwords.

Thank you for the reply. I have installed the DB client now and are able to connect to the database.

Hi Jacques,

Because as per SAP Note: u2013 1245795, Pre-requisite is

If your MDM repository is on DB2 DBMS then you need to install DB2 Client on the same machine that UOM Manager installed on. So you need to install DB2 client also on your local PC machine in order to access a remote DB2 server. Once done, you could able to connect to UOM Manager from your PC.
