Hi All

I have 2 Development Components Say A and B.

A has a view to display some info.

In the development component(DC) B, i want to use the view of A to display the inforamtion. i.e if i run the DC B, at run time i should be able to call the view of DC A.

any help please.

    Hi,

    The typical sequence is following:

    1. In DC-A create ComponentA, create window WindowA inside of ComponentA and embedd necessary view ViewA into WindowA. Corresponding (for window) InterfaceView WindowAInterfaceView must have at least one non-startup default plug if you plan to navigate to it later.

    2. Create public part in DC-A and add component A in this public part. First in NW select DC MetaData -> Public Parts -> New public part (rclick menu). Enter public part name, left defaults for anything else. Then right-click on ComponentA and choose Add to public part.

    3. In DC-B select DC MetaData -> DC Definition -> Used DC -> Add used DC (rclick menu). Add public part from DC A

    4. In ComponentB select Used Components, right click and add ComponentA. Select option createOnDemand.

    5. In ComponentB create window WindowB.

    6. Open designer for WindowB and select Embedd new view -> Embedd inrefcae view of component instance and select WindowAInterfaceView of ComponentA usage.

    7. You can use this view as default, or add any other view in WindowB and create a link to WindowAInterfaceView plug for later programmatic activation

    8. Done

    WBR,

In a title of the my reply (better first one) you can see yellow-star icon at right. Please click it and assign as many points as an answer costs 😉

      Thanks,
