Dialogue Instance on MSCS

Hi Gurus,

Scenario:

CI-DB cluster in MSCS

OS -- Windows server 2008 R2

Database : SQL server 2008

I am planning to install one remote dialogue instance, I understand from the guides that i need to install database client prior to the installation of dialogue instance.

But my query is "Does the database client refers to SQL Native access client?" Or is do i need to completely install SQL Server for that.

Need help.
