factory calendar assignment

Hi Gurus,

Can anybody please exaplain me the following. We are now running our plant in terms of production process 7 days a week. All these days the the 5 day factory calendar was only assigned. Now the business is wanting to assign the 7 day factory calendar. Here are my questions and this calendar is only for 1 plant.

1) Is there a plaace specifically for each module where the calendaar gets assigned, like sperately for MM, PP etc. Or everything is the same?

2) Where do we assign the new calendar to the plant? Is it in the plant definition in config? or is there a separate place in config for PP modiule only. Please clarify this

Dear,

If you are changing the factory calendar from 5 days to 7 days then there is no need to assigned it to any where. Once you do the changes in SCAL for particular calender it will reflect every where.

But if you are creating the new calendar in SCAL then you need to assign it to plant in OX10 'SM30 - V_T001W'. and all work center in CR02.shipping point and Sales org in SD,

Best option for you is change the existing factory calendar.

No we already have a 4 day, 5 day and 7 day factory calendar defined in the system. It is just taht the 5 day calendar was used all these days because of the slowdown. Now eveything is picking up so we want 7 day calendar assigned. so where do i assign this 7 day calendar to the plant such taht it will take care of all other places

In OX10 we have a 5 day calendar assigned to the plant, and in CR02 for all of the production work centres, we have a 4 day calendar assigned. We also use plant maintenance and for the work centeres which are plant maintenance related, again there is a 5 day calendar assigned. Now Do we make changes so that all three use same calendar? I dont think so right?. Atleast we should not touch plant maintenance, now coming to OX10 and CR02 (for work cetners) which are production related. Do i need to make change on all work centers related to production along with OX10 or what?. Please xplain me the effects individually and collectively. Thanks for your earlier replies

Better change 5 days and 4 days calander to 7 days in SCAL.

Else In OX10 , CR02 change to 7 days. IF plant maintenance not working for 7 days then don't change it.
