Hi,

I have few query's based on DSO 0FIGL_O14. The data size is too large in this nearly in crores. I have vendor credit report based on this. I run this query for a month and the performanceis too bad.. i get a time out error.

kindly suggest how can i improve my query performance which is based on DSO. I have checked the query read mode which is 'H'.

Thanks

Dipika

Have you set "generate SID" in the dso options?

Why you don't create a infoCube? There is a better data model for reporting.

Hi Dipika,

There are lot of options for you to increase the performance of the query based on DSO:

1) If you are using the 7.3 system, you can do the DSO level database partition where the data will be partitioned into different segements at the data base level, you can do this based on the whatever required cahracteristics you want.

2)creation of the secondary index for the required key etc.,

Thanks with regards,

I would also use as many filters as I can.

Hi,

If none of above (index/change in query) works, I would go ahead with multiprovider/logical partio...

hope below link is helpful to you.

Hi,

May ba a secondary index on the fields you have in the rows would help. Hope you do not have may fields in the rows by default.

Otherwise, if you have many chars in the default layout, you could check with your user if they need all those by default of some of those could be moved to the free chars and could be drilled down later.
