Our default tomcat port was causing issues, and so I had to change the port from 6400 to 6405 but now all the users manually need to enter servername:6405 to login.. Prior to this they just used to enter servername and login credentials.
Is there a way we can change ports without user being bugged or notified later. So they can use the same login details
Yes, there were some issues with 6400 port.. The unix team was not available to kill the port, and so I had to change the port number..
The clustername is same as the host name, still its not working.

I have changed the web.xml files for infoview and cmc, they work fine but the Client tools needs to enter Servername:6405

My bad! I changed the CMS port from 6400 to 6405.. But now every user needs to know that the System name should be servername:6405
I want it to be the same as before, System : servername

6400 and 6405 are not Tomcat ports, they are CMS server port....
If you use tomcat, you'll need to edit web.xml files and specify CMS name with new port you set it too, then restart tomcat.
Admin guide and Web Applications deploy guide will give you more information.
