IW41 - Time Confirmation to a PM Work ORder

When a user changes the work center on an operation within a work order and then goes to confirm time using transaction IW41 the defualt work center and activity type is from the previous time confirmation instead of reading the work order current work center and activity type. I would not find anything in the IMG under plant maintenance confirmation that would force the default to come fromt he work order. Any suggestions?

Hi,

The behaviour you describe is as expected - defualt work center and activity type is from the previous time confirmation. There is not any customizing or other setting to change this behaviour. You could look at using exits CONFPM01/CONFPM04 for some custom specific logic.

There's one defaults setting from the setting in the operation. Please check the operation.

When in the Order , can you goto operation ?

It is not the default for the operation that is in question. The order was planned and released and time posted using IW41 against operation 10. Then the work center is changed on operation 10 which has a different activity type. The new activity type comes into the order after the work center is changed. Then a person from the new work center goes to enter his time using IW41 and the work center and activity type that shows in IW41 are both the original, so the user need to enter his work center and activity type. Is there a setting for IW41 look at the work order instead of the previous time entry?
