Need to Enhance the Master Data

Dear Experts,

I heartily thank you all experts for the support.And will always be thankful to you.

I have a requirement like : I need to pull add the field ( XXX ) from MARA table. And replicate the same to BW side for the availability in the Sales Report (2LIS_13_VDITM).

That means , I need to enhance the Material Master . Will it make any problem like; Deletion of Master Data and all ?
