Minimal and recommended hardware specifications for SAP 8.8 client

Dear all,

I've searched the web for direct answers but no luck.

What are minimal and recommended hardware and software specifications for computers running SAP 8.8 client.

Hi Grgze,

There may not be any document that can precisely say that, it depends upon features used such as XL Reporter, CopyExpress, Citrix if there is etc. Also, depends upon other applications running on the client.

Generally, ram is cheap, and most computers should be able to serve as client.

Hardware Requirements for Hosted Environments

RAM Requirements

CITRIX XenApp Edition or Windows Terminal Services hardware requirements, as stipulated by the manufacturer.

Per user:

  • SAP Business One application u2013 60MB~80MB

  • Citrix Client Session u2013 For recommended requirements, refer to Citrix documentation

  • Each DI API Add-On using Multiple Add-On Mechanism adds a minimum of 25MB (first lauched Add-On adds a minimum of 60MB). For recommended requirements, contact your solution provider.

Example:

Your system is required to run:

  • 4 SAP Add-Ons

  • 1 Solution Add-On

  • 10 SAP Business One users

Calculate the required memory as follows:

  • All Add-Oons require 60MB x 1 SAP Add-On + 25MB x 3 SAP Add-Ons + 60MB x 1 Solution Add-On = 200MB~300MB for all five Add-Ons

  • Each user requires 60MB80MB (application) + 200MB300MB (Add-Ons) + 40MB50MB (Citrix session) = 300MB430MB x 10 users =

3GB u2013 4GB in total
