Relation between PBIM table and BOM tables

Hi Gurus,

After entering the planned independent requirement in MD61 tcode, I need to find out in a report of requirement of the components in each level.

I need the component requirement at plant level/ list of components. Through MD04 I can get only for single item.

Could you please give the relation between PBIM(MD61 table) and BOM tables(STKO & STPO), so that I can extract the data based on those tables.

Thanks in advance

Regards

Ramesh

Hi,

What you are trying to do is to create a report that is doing a partial MRP calculation based on requirements and BOM explosion.

This is first not simple to achieve, and second you have MRP for that, so why trying?

Hi Mario,

Client want at any given point of time, how many days coverage of components they are having at plant level by running a sigle tcode.

As per standard SAP, it gives for single FG at a time, what are all the components coverage in the plant. But here the requirement is client has to see all components coverage days at plant level at give point of time in ALV report.

Suggestions are appreciated.

Hi Ramesh,

The business requirement is clear; I suggest that you or the client analyze the possible solutions. To me, to address this requirement properly would involve the analysis of the planning processes. If they are well implemented, then seeing the stock coverage of materials is a standard SAP transaction (MD06 for example).

Hi Mario.

Thanks for your quick reply.

Main problem here is that the master data like MRP controller etc at material master is not clear (not maintained well). Client is doing the cleansing activity. So they are asking for this report to develop.

Thanks & regards

Ramesh

Ramesh,

It is no longer clear what the requirement is.

MD06 will show days supply for every part in the plant.

Merely creating a report linking PIRS and BOMs will not show any information related to coverage. The report would have to perform all the tasks that MRP would perform.

If I were you, I would offer the client the functionality of MD06.

What does he really want?
