request names in DSO

Hi

I found it a bit confusing when I checked Requests tab of 'Manage' screen of DSO....

I found one column named PSA requests generated when activated and all requests are starting as 'ODSR_XXXXXX'

and one column named Request number where requests are starting as 'DTPR_XXXXX' or 'REQU_XXXXX'...whats the meaning of these various notations and columns....

Can anyone please explain...

As said above,

REQU_*** are requests loaded by infopackage.

DTPR_*** are requests loaded by DTP

ODSR_*** are requests generated when the request is activated in the DSO.

Suppose if a request is loaded by infopackage(3.x)...do we see same request number REQU_XXX in whole dataflow like in DSO and after that infocube assuming simple 3.x dataflow of source system>ods>cube

Suppose if a request is loaded in 7.x dataflow of source system>dso>cube....how do we see request in DSO and Cube....

We do not see the same request number in DSO and cube. It should be unique.

Do you mean we see different request numbers in DSO and cubes....?

when you say 'ODSR_XXX' is PSA request number generated when activated in PSA ...is it like PSA also have its own request number?

Yes. The request id and request number will be generated and would be different.

ODSR_*** is the request number generated in the DSO when the data is activated.

PSA also has its own request number generated. If you right click on PSA and choose manage, you could see a PSA request starting with REQU_**. There you could also see a request DTPR_*** under updated request column. This indicates teh request is updated to a target above using DTP. This DTPR_*** request number is the request generated in the DSO when data is loaded.

The "REQU_.." is the InfoPackage request (bringing data from R/3 to PSA) that was processed and the "DTPR_.." is the DTP run (loading data from PSA to DSO) of the process.
