Reference personnel number

Experts - Good day!

I have an issue and wondering if somebody could help me with that - I understand that SAP is now not maintaining the IT0031 for any intra country assignments and they are linked directly to the central person (CP) and viewed in PA30.

My question: I have an employee who is from France and worked earlier in US. Now that this hiring action and everything is in created is there any way you guys can suggest me to inculde the old personnel number. Based on my findings this we can get updated only during hiring actions in IT0000 under Reference personnel number. However i cant see the field Reference personnel no in PA30 although its maintained.

Hello Raghunath,

Could you try to update infotype 0709 for both the employee numbers. The infotype 0709 links the employee numbers to one employee id.

Chinna - all the relevant fields has been updated T588M however IT00021 is family infotype and not relevant to the query sorry abt that.

Remi - Yes this is a concurrent employement. However I am on ECC 5.0 where the functionality of IT00031 is made empty and only way to ge this either by input the old personnel number during hiring action this would linked to CP. However i am not able to update in IT0031 is there any way you could help me with that

Santosh: Not really sure whether the reference personnel number is linked to the Person ID(0709) please it would be great if you could brief you on this.

We have not implemented CE yet, but we used IT0031 in 4.0B, 4,6C and currently in 6.00.

Is it possible that IT0031 had to be deactivated in CE ?

And to answer Santosh's question, in our system, the Person (P) is linked to the Central Person (CP) though relation A209.

You can look them up using t-code se16n and selecting table HRP1001.

Are you on Concurrent Employment ?

We are on 6.00 and still use IT0031, but we are not on CE.

The Central Person is very useful in custom reports when you want to have a complete picture of the employee, since the employee could have 4 or 5 PERNRs (each linked with IT0031) but a single CP.

Hi RG,

May be someone hide that field. Go to Table T588M and find the correct screen and select this field as Required field for that particular Infotype. You can also input this field in IT0021.
