Netweaver 702 how to install ABAP+Java?

Former Member

Hello,

We have to install cProjects and ADS in the same machine. After reading the master guide, I think I need to install a Netweaver 7 EHP2 Abap+Java.

I have downloaded the DVD 51040135_13, but sapinst doesn't have an option to install a dual ABAP+JAVA, only abap and only java.

However, the installation guide ppage has installation guides for abap, for Java and for abapjava, so I don't understand. Besides note number 1387319, says that it is possible AS ABAP, AS Java and AS (ABAPJava)

Do you have any idea? I need the cProjects and ADS in the same server.

Thanks and best regards,

Ana.

Hi,

EHP2 Netweaver system cannot be install as dual stack system. Only below installation is possible in case of EHP2 system:

  • SAP NetWeaver 7.0 EHP2, including:

o AS ABAP (ABAP)

o AS Java (Java)

o AS ABAP and AS Java (ABAP+Java): only applied for SAP NetWeaver Process Integration and SAP NetWeaver Mobile Infrastructure

o SAP NetWeaver Development Infrastructure (DI)

o SAP NetWeaver Business Intelligence Java (BI Java)

o SAP NetWeaver Enterprise Portal (EP)

o SAP NetWeaver Mobile Infrastructure (MI): only available with AS ABAP and AS Java (ABAP+Java)

o SAP NetWeaver Process Integration (PI): only available with AS ABAP and AS Java (ABAP+Java)

For more information, you can refer SAP note 1341276.

Thanks

Hello,

Mark, thanks for your link. The document is really valuable and I haven't seen it before.

Sunny, I have read the note and you are right, but in note number 1387319 it says:

SAP NetWeaver 7.0 EHP2, including software units:

AS ABAP (ABAP)

AS Java (Java)

AS ABAP and AS Java (ABAP+Java)

Business Intelligence Java (BI Java)

Development Infrastructure (DI)

EP Core (EPC)

Enterprise Portal (EP)

Mobile Infrastructure (MI)

Process Integration (PI)

This is exactly the opposite, isn't it? or maybe my englist is as bad that I have misundrestood anything.

Thanks to both,

Ana

Hi Ana,

You can run two separate installations on one machine. So a single ABAP stack and a single Java stack.

Check [this|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/d074d7de-8d55-2b10-1e94-fb2e9d2893d1?quicklink=index&overridelayout=true] link for the deployment options and recommendations of SAP regarding dual stacks, versus single stacks.

Kind regards,

Mark
