Dears,

can i use Material No as numeric value only such as 1012256455455, i have tried to create new No Rage which fulfill these Requ but its not allowing me to use it in above format i need to add some char. like A C, etc. hope some has a solution for this problem

of course a material number can be like you mentioned it.

If the number range is from 1000000000000 to 1999999999999 then your number1012256455455 is within this number range and is in general valid.

You just have to think about internal and external number ranges.

if this range is defined as internal number range. then you cannot enter the number manually in MM01 to create a material. In case of internal numbers you leave the material number field empty in MM01 and SAP will automatically assign the next number from the range.

my number range would assigned externally this is formate 10122545465656,1024878466, 123658987945, and so on, in some case i have 101SBY5014565 such material Number, i have tried what you suggested defining No Range 100000000, 1999999999 but i m some error ' No rage not defined for material Type trading item" in this case the system check the material No field Lenght if its 18 Charcter so you material No is need to be of 18 Char.

so is there any other solution for this problem

HI

Hope you missed the assignment to Material type and the Number Range thats why you are getting this error. Check and do the configuration as followes

Logistic genaral-->Material Master>Basic setting->Material Types--->Define Number range for Material Type.

Dears,

I have this scenario where i m create PO with different line items where some of these item has account assignment (Non valuated material), supplier offer me discount in term of amount ex USD 2000, but this discount needs to deducted from the item with account assignment.

other items in the PO which is the stock item (Non acc Assign) doesn't needs to be affected with such discount
