System DSN not showing up in Crystal 11 Designer

We have a new installation of Crystal reports v 11 on a 2003 windows (64 bit) web server. When I open an existing report for editing in the designer app and try to set the database location, the system ODBC's do not show in the selection window.

We have re-installed the application twice. The system DSN was created under an administrator but the designer app still doesn't see it. I've been able to create a file DSN which does show up in connection selection window.

Any help on this would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Found the answer, this is a windows 2003 server (64 bit version) and the default odbc control panel (loaded from admin tools) is the 32 bit version. Crystal reports XI was using the values from the 64 bit version of the control panel. Once I located this (windows\SysWow64) version and added the appropiate dsn information, the designer was able to see the connection.

I have moved this post to a more appropriate forum.

The OnDemand forum is specifically for applications like crystalreports.com and bi.ondemand.com.

Cheers
