Performance issue of BI system

Hi ,

In our production server we have scheduled UPDATE STATATICS (in db13) to run at 05:00am daily.

The user is also extracting the data load on the same time which cause performance on the system and user saying that time consuming by data extraction taking long time . Can you please let me know what should to be done so that UPDATE statistics will run and data extraction will also without effecting the system performance and delay of data extraction in BI system (should not took long time).
