Hello Experts,
There is demand from customer as mentioned below:
When a new WBSE is created, is it possible to configure so that the new WBSE inherits its status with status no. user status from its parent WBSE?
I think its not possible for new WBSE to inherit the status from perent.
I have tried to search any thread where I can find the solution of this issue, but not found any.
Please provide your suggestions on this.
Many thanks in advance for your help.
Best Regards,
Krishna Singh
I dont think user status will be inherited. You need to do it manually. Just set and pass on the user status and it will be passed on to the lower level WBS.

even I also think the same but, I am not sure. Are you sure about your answer?
Have you referred SAP Help. It clearly says "User statuses are not passed on down a hierarchy" .
Hi Rafi,
Thanks for you reply, So, you also mean to say that User Status can not be inherited to newly created WBSE automatically?
Also, there is no any EXIT for this? Can you please provide me the link of SAP Help where I can see the mentioned "User statuses are not passed on down a hierarchy" .
Many thanks in advance for your help and time.
Best Regards,
Krishna Singh.
BADI is available which can be called during saving of WBSE. It is very easy to find that in the forum. Also, there are FM's and BAPI's are available to set the status of the WBSE. You find that also in the forum, 1st link of the forum will be helpful. So make use both of that to achieve your result.
Ok, so probably you would have got BAPI to get status of WBSE. Use the same BAPI instead of "GET" write SET. eg., BAPI_XXXX_GET_STATUS here write SET in GET and see that will be the BAPI to set status on WBSE. Even If you put BADI WBS in forum you will get that BADI. It is not difficult. try it out.
