Stop PGI on a factory Holiday

Hi,

While we create a sales order, and enter the requested delivery date, the system validates the date entered with the holiday calender. if it is a holiday, than the system throws a warning message indicating that the selected date is a non working day.

The system calculates these days for picking and packing.

For example:

Case 1: If the factory calender has 29/04/2011 as a holiday and if i enter the requested delivery data as 29/04/2011, than i get an error message similar to

No goods accepted on 29.04.2011. The next possible date is: 03.05.2011

This is a perfect behavior for the system.

Case 2: Case 1: If the factory calender has 29/04/2011 as a holiday and if i enter the requested delivery data as 28/04/2011, than i have no messages and the order is complete.

When i create the delivery for that sales order, the picking status, Trans. Planning and Loading are on a working day. But the PGI is still processed on 29.04.2011 which is a holiday as per the holiday calender.

May i know if there is any such setting where we can restrict PGI on a non working day?

Regards

Suku

Hi Suku,

You possibly referenced to the ship to parties calendar controlling goods receipt which is assigned to the unloading point of the Ship to party partner.

Have you checked the calendar assigned to the delivery plant? OVR3. and SAP Customizing Implementation Guide>Enterprise Structure>Definition-->Logistics - General

Hi Glynn,

The calender entry in the Customer Master unloading point is generally blank. We do not utilize this field to determine the delivery dates.

Regarding the factory calender of the plant, it is the same as the calender assigned to the sales organization, shipping point, plant and route.
