A Constant selection but with Filter How ?

People, I need to multiply a column for the same value in all lines like the constant selection that we have on BEX.

BUT I need this value changing when the user uses a Filter for example plant or date.

The calculation is simple, I need to multiply a Amount for the quantity, this quantity is a close value.

If I donu2019t use a constant selection wonu2019t work, because the report have Const center Hierarch on the lines, and the production donu2019t have cost center and I donu2019t need too.

Some idea ?

I used farmula SUMGT to show the result in all lines

Sorry I hadnu2019t explained my self very well.

Imagine That I have Brute Production (22.000) and I want to multiply this same value in all the lines of other report (on the same WAD) based on other infocube of the same multiprovider (is it clear ?)

BUT The report that I want to use this value (22.000) has a cost center hierarch in the lines, and the cube that I have brute Production (22.000) I donu2019t have cost center.

I have all other filters like plant and date.

The constant selection works very well

Amount / Production

11 .00 / 22.000

22 .00 / 22.000

33 .00 / 22.000

But When I choose other plant the constant selection keep the value on 22.000 and donu2019t change it.

Marcus,

I am sorry I didn't understand it very clearly. Is the constant selection on the KF (check box in advanced tab property), or, as an RKF? If it is the former, this may not work for your case.

My understanding is you want to ignore the cost-center for calculating this field, as it is not there in the cube where this KF comes from. However you do want to apply other selection/filter on this KF.

If this is right, here is what you should do.

- Create a restricted KF based on this KF, drag Cost-center as restricting char for this RKF. Do not select any values for the cost-center restriction, just right click and choose constant selection there. (It is in the RKF definition window, on the char under the KF - right lower frame).

If there are other chars like cost-center that you want to ignore and get the sum total on (eg say calmonth), you can add those too similarly in the RKF definition.

Maybe this is not what you look for but this is what I could understand of your requirement.

Ajay thanks a lot for your hints.

That exactly what I need, ignore the cost center because I don't need and I don't have cost center on the cube that bring to me the brute production.

I triend what you proprosed it worked, it puts the value 22.000 in all lines (perfect) BUT, hadn't respected other filter like plant that I have on the cube.

They "Freesed" the value.

You basically need something that works as constant selection only in reference to 'Cost Center' (and maybe other chars).

Create an RKF based on the base KF, drag Cost Center for restriction, in the context menu on this restriction (cost-center) - in the RKF editor popup window - choose constant selection. This will ensure all other filters/selections are applicable - except cost center. Use this RKF.

You can restrict by more than one char and apply constant selection to any number in the above manner.
