BW query execution in background

Hello

At the time of query execution, end user needs option of running report in background, if required. Is it possible in Information broadcasting? Or any other option?

The need is to let the user decide, at time of execution, to run the report interactively or in background mode.

yes in 7.x it is thr broadcasting

in 3.x it is thr Precalculation of webtemplates

We are on BI 7. Can you pls explain how the end user can be given option to run the report in background, if he wants to, using Information Broadcasting? I checked all the options in the broadcast settings wizard, the wizard will be available to the user only after he / she executes the query. In this case, we want the user to have some option before executing the report.
