How to use Hierarchy in my reports

I created a hierarchy structure (from a link in SDN) as below

ZSREP - This characteristic InfoObject has ZSCOUNTRY and ZSREGION as the external characteristics.

Then I created a DSO with ZSREP as the Key Field and ZSALES(Key Figure) as the Data Field, and loaded some sample data into the DSO and activated it.

I created a Query on my DSO and the report shows the data in tabular format. But how do I show the hierarchy in my report. Do I need to addd ZSCOUNTRY and ZSREGION also to the DSO and subsequently load data to it?
