Delete Storage location

Dear Gurus,

in MMSC i want to delete one storage location ,system is throwing following error:

Storage location ENGG already exists and cannot be deleted

Message no. M3254

Diagnosis

You want to delete a storage location that was created in another step.

However, when entering storage locations collectively, you may delete only storage locations that you specified in this step.

we want to delete Material-storage location assingnment, so what to do

Hi,

You can delete a store loc when..

1. There's no pending transactions (PO/GR/IR etc)

2. No stocks

3. no existing transactions

Still if you think that the storage location you do not require any more for the specific material, use MM06 is the transaction you require... Just input the material, plant and erroneous storage location, press Enter, check the box beside the Storage location, and Save.

Hi,

You can only set deletion flag for that material in the specific storage location using MM06 T Code. Also check T Code EC14 whether it helps to delete the storage location after setting deletion flag for all the materials at this storage location.

Hello Siva,

I am sorry that I misunderstood the question.

You can set the deletion indicator for those material at storage location level with MM06 transaction.

Also you can go to transcation MM02 for those material and then go MRP-2 View to define or change field Storage Location for External Procurement.

Here you can define the default storage location/ correct storage location which you want while creating purcahse order.

Once this is doen, system will automatically propose correct storage location.
