How to create a subcontractor master data

Hey SAP gurus,

Now I'm doing a project about outsourcing. First step is to create master data for subcontractor. Is it same with how to create a vendor?

Would appreciate if anyone can give me the whole procedure of outsourcing in SAP

Its the normal vendor creation process, but try to maintain Purchase Info Record as subcontractor.

For any material if you want to use subcontracting as the business process, then pls mentioned subcontracting in Spl procurement key in MRP2 view.
