Arabic text doesn't show in adobe interactive forms when displayed in wda

I developed an Adobe Interactive form which contains Arabic text and it worked fine in DEV system (Arabic texts showed in web dynpro application).

I then transported the whole thing to QAS (web dynpro, form and interface) but the Arabic text shows when the form is tested (print preview) and when displayed in the web dynpro it displays blank spots in place of Arabic texts.

I also tried to recreate it with login lanuage = AR but no effect.

Appreciate any suggestions/solutions.

Perhaps the font is installed in ADS DEV but isn't installed in ADS QAS?

That would explain why you can see it working in Preview Mode. The font is taken from the Operating System.

Check this with your Basis team.

Andres.

Hi Andre,

We have already used a font that exists on the QA system and is working. so it is not a problem of font. If I may add, we support the client system. there is difference between the sp level for SAP_basis component between DEV and QA ; level 19 and 18 respectively. could that be the root of the problem?

Thanks Andres and Fawaz.

It was an operating system problem, and once the BASIS team had patched the QA system, the form did display both Arabic and English texts.

Appreciate your responses.
