Error: validate with data file failed

I am trying to Validate a transaction file in BPC for excel 7.5. When I run the validation, get the following errors: Duplicate member detected in ID '########' and Error: validate with data file failed.

Any hints as to why I am getting this error message?

Hi,

As you said transaction file, I believe that your data is in a flat file. Please run a check in your flat file, whether you have any duplicate record or not. You can filter the column for the duplicate ID mentioned in the error.

Dimension IDs could get duplicated on the BW back end. IDs should all be in capital letters (upper case), please check whether there is a duplicate ID with one or more letters in lowe case (not capital letters). You may have search for this in BW back end, BPC front end may not show that.
