Partner Object

1667 Views

Hi Gurus;

I'm new to CO, so I apologize for my ignorance on this question. Basically, I'm trying to figure out the difference between the "Partner Object" and "Origin Object" since I may be coding a user exit to bring them into our BW structures. I'm aware that the "partner object" from COEP is used to derive the values for partner cost center, partner activity, and other partner fields. However, I noticed that there's also an "origin object" from COEP, which is often populated in COEP when the "partner object" isn't. Other times, both of them are populated with different values (i.e. cost centers). Is the origin costcenter considered the "home cost center" and partner costcenter considered the "loaned cost center"? If not, which cost center would I extract when both are populated?

Regards;
