FB50 -Customer-specific fields not greyed out despite Field status group

Hello Experts, i need your help please.

In the field status group i hide some standards fields and customer specific fields.

I assigned this field status to a GL account.

In FB50, when i populate GL account number and press Enter, system grey out only standards hidden fields and not customer specific fields despite fields status.

Can you please tell me if there is an OSS note or some solution to fix this issue?

Customer specific fields are the new-gl fields.

Hi ,

Compare OBC4 and OB41 , you have done the relevant settings for OBC4 , where as for OB41 check the same with the posting keys that you are using .

No, I have not changed the fields status for posting keys in OB41. Normally, we should not modify standards ones!!

Any why, i checked the fields status in OB41 for postings keys that i'm using (40 and 50) and all customer specific fields are optional in OB41.

One remark, to add the customer specific fields in the line items we implemented an OSS note (174413) by modifying the standard program. So, may be because that the fields status doesn't work correctly !!

What do you think?

You will have to change them however. Standard is giving you hints, but is not following your design generally. No issue in changing it. It is better than creating new posting keys.

I don't think so. I did a test with FB01 and it works correctly. The customer specific fields marked as suppressed don't appear .

The porblem occurs just in the enjoy transaction FB50.

go to okx3 or oxk3 to the last part of the menu, and change the necessary enjoy transactions

PS did You check the posting keyfield status by ob41?

In OBC41,

--> Standards fields: Coste Center (BSEG-KOSTL) and Order (BSEG-AUFNR) are marked as suppressed fields

--> involved fields: Origin (BSEG-ZZ12_EXPRO) and Third party (BSEG-ZZ13_TIEME) are marked as suppressed fields too.

So, in FB50 when i enter a GL account number which has this fields status and press enter, system grey out Cost Center and Order (Standards fields) and not Origin and Third party (Customer specific fields added as a NEW-GL fields).

You should check the field status group of posting keys 40 & 50 in OB41 and see your relevant field's status. Please check it. I hope this will solve the problem

Taking your last reply you are saying that relevant fields are optional in for posting keys 40 & 50 and in field status group you have marked them as hidden. Here is conflict. You must also change the field status group of posting keys in according to what you did in field status group for the GLs. This will resolve your issues.

SAP recommands not change settings in key postings specially SAP keys.

I think is an SAP issue.

If you mean by customer sub screen the coding block sub-screen, i confirm you that hidden customer specific fields don't appear.

The problem that those specific fields are hidden in the fields status and not greyed out on the line items screen as is the case for standard fields.
