Dear All,
When we transfer the Asset form one asset class to another asset class system is picking the net book values from start of the fiscal year
Ex: - I have a asset with net book values as on 01.01.2008 with the asset no. 120000 - 10 years life (month Dep. 1000)
i run the dep. for 2008 F Year my dep. for the year - 12000 (12 Months X 1000 per month)
my asset value as on 01 Jan. 2009 (120000 - 12000) 108000 (net book value)
and i run the dep. for 2009 first six months (1000 X 6 months) 6000
as on 01.07.2009 i transfer the asset to another asset class with the net book value of 102000 (108000 - 6000) and if i take the dep. for the period of 07.2010 system is calculating the wrong dep.
I raised the OSS after checking the system SAP send the below mail, please look at the SAP statement and guide me where i have to do the changes. i have checked the system but i have not found any details what SAP giving.
The reason for this calculation is the depreciation key LINR with base value 24. to have the behavior you expect you should use base value 27. you will need to open the year in fi and asset accounting to have the depreciation recalculated, if you want to change the base value in your depreciation key LINR.
I have checked the dep. key, moreover i used Based method is 0011 - Ordinary: percentage from useful life. why SAP is saying change base value from 24 to 27 with out using of that.
Regards
Radha
